Most of the weekend saw great fishing weather but Sunday afternoon the wind came up making it a little cool but as it was the last Goblet weekend for the year it didn’t stop our enthusiastic Fishing Club members enjoying the Christmas BBQ held at the Tuross Head Country Club where Santa and his elves popped in to hand out presents to some very excited juniors thanks Santa. The Fishing Club Catering Officer Janine Campbell provided an awesome meal with Lamb on the spit that was enjoyed by 50 plus Fishing Club members.

TURKEY AWARD

Linda Saberton Turkey Award

Linda Saberton Turkey Award

It seems turkeys are not only good to eat at Christmas time as there was some good turkey stories this month like our President Neil Alexander losing his son’s rod from the back of the boat, I think Neil has been mentioned in turkey stories several times in the last couple of months, getting to be a bit of a habit Neil! Then the one where John McNeill fell overboard and of course his phone was in his pocket and not water proof model but the award for this month went to Linda Saberton who at the annual Presentation night with 50’s dress theme lost her 50’s style petticoats while on her way to collect her award, Linda didn’t miss a beat just hitch them up and kept walking!
