QUIET GOBLET WEEKEND
Every April, Tuross Head Fishing Club members hit the water in pursuit of Pigfish the monthly “goblet” for April. This weekend just past was designated as the goblet weekend and while school holidays kept numbers down there were a few die hard anglers competing for the covert ‘goblet’ prize.
While numbers were down the weather was great for the keen anglers consisting of eight men and four ladies. ‘Pigfish’ were not exactly plentiful but Gav Robinson did well winning the Goblet with his 31.8cm Pigfish.
Rod Federer not only took out Men’s Outside with a 55.3 Snapper and Rock and Beach with a 56cm Salmon but also won the Mystery Fish with a good size Snapper.
The weigh-in was held at Tuross Head Country Club where a great afternoon was had by all who attended. Next month our Fishing Club Members will be pursuing Snapper to win the Goblet over the weekend of 14 – 15 May.
