Fishing alert for Sun 1 - Mon 2 OctA cold front over the southern Tasman and a ridge over southeast Australia are directing southerly winds over New South Wales waters. Winds will generally shift north to northeasterly by Monday. The next front is likely to bring a southerly change to the coast on Wednesday or Thursday.
The BOM is warning of hazardous fishing and boating conditions for Sunday 1 and Monday 2 Oct for the coast between Coffs and the Illawarra. Seas will be just 1 to 1.5 metres but the swell will be up to 4 metres on those coasts on Sunday, slightly less on Monday.
