Angel Rings Supplied

Posted on Aug 21, 2016

The Australian National Sport Fishing Association, of which our Club Secretary Max Castle is a member, regularly applies for Trust Fund Grants to maintain and install Angel Rings along the coast of NSW. It can also include some jetties and wharves. It is funded by monies from the fishing licence scheme.

After hearing about the Tuross Head Angel Rings, the Rosedale Community Association (Batemans Bay area) approached ANSFA through Max about the prospect of getting Angel Rings. Their beach has coastal rocks on each side and a strong coastal rip. It is used for rock fishing, surf fishing and swimming so the Rings serve multiple purposes.

These Rings are now installed and the Community Association are extremely pleased to have these life saving rings, especially prior to the annual tourist influx.

A good result and a good use of our fishing  licence fees.
