A free fishing “How to” for anybody interested – In Moruya

Dear Fishoes! NSW Fisheries would like to invite your members to a recreational fishing information night at:  Moruya Golf Club - Evans Street, Moruya 3rd June 2017 – 4.00pm -730pm  The information session will include presentations and workshop sessions demonstrating new and improved best practice fishing techniques. The information sessions will cover topics on:
  • Improved catch and release fishing techniques.
  • The science of circle  hooks and how to use them for most species.
  • NSW DPI Game Fish Tagging Program and releasing pelagic species.
  • How to maximise your catch using new and old techniques from estuary to inshore by Anthony Stockman of Compleat Angler Batemans Bay
  • Barotrauma research and how to release fish caught from depth.
These information sessions should not only improve your fishing but will also contribute to improving the environmental performance of fishing. This info will be helpful for all anglers and those that are involved in organising fishing competitions.
