TUROSS HEAD COUNTRY CLUB FISHING CLUB’S FISHING UPDATE.
September 2015
BUCKENDERRA GOBLET WEEKEND.
September has so far brought us some beautiful weather and members of the Tuross Head Fishing Club are out and about in pursuit of our monthly ‘goblet’ fish. This month the goblet fish is Trout and last weekend 15 fishing club members including juniors hit the road for a weekend of family fun and fishing at Buckenderra where the Trout were plentiful. There was even time on Friday to stop for some fun in the snow before unpacking rods and getting down to the serious business of fishing.
With excellent weather the group that attended had a wonderful time with a great haul of 32 fish caught. It was a delight to see many of the juniors out having a go and catching some good sized fish with Sam Gschwend and Lucas Brown both catching a 59cm length Brown Trout each.
Buckenderra, as usual, were great hosts looking after the Tuross Head crowd over the weekend, with lots of fun had by all. Thank you Buckenderra and we are looking forward to our next trip.
The weigh-in or should I say measure in was held at Buckenderra, with a good mix of Rainbow and Brown Trout caught and measured using our new ‘it’s all about the length’ system that has recently and very successfully been adopted by the Club. Congratulations to Ross Parker for his winning Brown Trout at 69.5cm.
